Ingredients for fried rockling recipe

  • 1 – 2 fillets of rockling.
  • Cornflakes crumbs.
  • Salt & pepper.
  • Cornflower.
  • Canola oil.
  • 2 Lemons.

Instructions for fried rockling recipe

  • Prepare rockling fillets by washing and paper towel drying.
  • Soak in cornflour (mixed with water in a bowl).
  • Cover fillets in cornflakes crumbs.
  • Pour canola oil into the frying pan (enough to cover the fillets).
  • Cook on high heat and add the fillets when the oil sizzles.
  • Cook on each side for 10 minutes or until tender.
  • Place fillets on a paper towel when cooked.
  • Add fresh lemon juice and salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve it with a garden salad on the side.
